Brief Bio

Assoc. Prof. Petia Koprinkova-Hristova earned MSc in Bio-techniques from the Technical University - Sofia and PhD in Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Since 2003 she is Associate Professor in Process Automation, initially in the Institute of Control and System Research and from January 2012 - in the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Her main research interests are in the field of Intelligent Control Systems using mainly fuzzy, neuro-fuzzy and neural network approaches.
Currently she is a member of European Neural Network Society (ENNS) executive committee for 2011 - 2013 and member of the Union of Automatics and Informatics in Bulgaria.
Since 2006 Petia Koprinkova-Hristova is a member of the editorial board of the journal "Automatics and Informatics" (in Bulgarian).
She was International Program Committee member for more than 20 international conferences and reviewer in several international scientific journals.
Assoc. Prof. Koprinkova-Hristova participated in 10 national and international projects and she was working package leader, co-leader and leader in some of them. Dr. Koprinkova-Hristova has more than 70 published papers and more than 60 citations in refereed journals, conference proceedings and edited volumes.

Mohamed Oubbati

Brief Bio

Mohamed Oubbati is currently an Assistant Professor with the Institute of Neural Information Processing at Ulm University, Germany.
His research work focuses on learning hierarchies of sensorimotor schemas through reinforcement learning, and on developing intelligent controllers using recurrent neural networks.


This session invites authors to submit their works on study, analysis, design, modeling and implementation of RNNs, both theoretically and in a broad range of application fields. Papers presenting investigations and simulation applications of all known kinds of RNNs, i.e. recurrent multilayer perceptrons, Hopfield, Jordan and Elman networks, fully recurrent networks, Echo state networks, bi-directional RNN, hierarchical RNN, continuous time RNN, etc. as well as newly proposed architectures are invited. The session scope includes but is not limited to the following topics:
• Recurrent neural networks architectures
• Training algorithms of recurrent neural networks
• Stability analysis of recurrent neural network models
• Complex systems modeling using recurrent neural networks
• RNN simulation platforms for scientific and industrial applications
• Industrial applications of recurrent neural network models

Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics listed above.
