Brief Bio
Professor Mohammad S. Obaidat (Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of SCS) is an internationally well-known academic/researcher/scientist. He received his Ph.D. and M. S. degrees in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. Dr. Obaidat is currently the Chair and Full Professor of Computer and Information Science at Fordham University, NY, USA. He has received extensive research funding and has published Forty Six (46) books and over Six Hundreds and Eighty (680) refereed technical articles in scholarly international journals and proceedings of international conferences, and currently working on three more books. Mohammad is the Editor-in-Chief of the Wiley International Journal of Communication Systems, the FTRA Journal of Convergence and the KSIP Journal of Information Processing. He is also an Editor of IEEE Wireless Communications. He is now an editor of the Wiley Security and Communication Networks Journal, Journal of Networks, International Journal of Information Technology, Communications and Convergence, IJITCC, Inderscience. Prof. Obaidat is an associate editor/editorial board member of seven other refereed scholarly journals. He has guest edited numerous special issues of scholarly journals. Janusz Kacprzyk is Professor of Computer Science at the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences, Professor at WIT - The Warsaw School of Information Technology, and Professor at PIAP – Industrial Institute of Automation and Measurements, allin Warsaw,
Poland. He is Honorary Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Yli Normal University, Shanxi, China, and Visiting Scientist at RIKEN Brain research Institute in Wako-shi, Japan. He has been a visiting professor at many universities in the USA, England, Italy, UK and Mexico. He is Academician (Member) of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Fore
ign Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Spanish Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences. His research interests include intelligent systems, soft computing, fuzzy logic, decision making, decision analysis and decision support, database querying, information retrieval, data analysis, data mining, etc. He is President of IFSA (International Fuzzy Systems Association) and President of the Polish Society for Operational and Systems Research.
He is Fellow of IEEE and IFSA. He received The 2005 IEEE CIS Fuzzy Pioneer Award for pioneering works on multistage fuzzy control, notably fuzzy dynamic programming, The Sixth Kaufmann Prize and Gold Medal for pioneering works on the use of fuzzy logic in economy and management, the Award of the Silicon Valley Chapter of IEEE CIS for pioneering works on granular computing and computing with words and The 2013 IFSA Award.
His publication record is: 5 books, 50 volumes, 400 papers.
He is Editor in chief of 5 Springer’s book series, and a co-editor of 2 Springer book series, is on the editorial boards of ca. 40 journals, being the editor in chief of 2 journals, and a member of the IPC at more than 300 conferences.

Brief Bio
Tuncer Ören is a professor emeritus of Computer Science at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He has been involved with simulation since 1965. His research interests include: (1) advancing modeling and simulation methodologies; (2) agent-directed simulation (full synergy of agents and simulation); (3) agents for cognitive and emotive simulations including representations of human personality, emotions, emotional intelligence, understanding, sources of misunderstanding and conflict; (4) reliability, quality assurance, failure avoidance, and ethics; as well as (5) body of knowledge and (6) terminology of modeling si mulation. He has over 540 publications –some translated in Chinese, German and Turkish– including 50 books and proceedings. He has contributed to over 500 conferences and seminars held in 40 countries. He has been keynote or invited speaker, or honorary chair in about half of them. Dr. Ören has been recognized, by IBM Canada, as a pioneer of computing in Canada. He received "Information Age Award" from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and an Honor Award from the Language Association of Turkey. He was inducted to SCS Modeling and Simulation Hall of Fame –Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a distinguished lecturer, a fellow as well as AVP for ethics of SCS. A book about him was edited by L.
