Associations, Federations and Special Interest Groups

Aware of the importance of international cooperation for the advancement of science, INSTICC works closely together with several other national and international associations and is proud to welcome them as partners in its activities or to arrange initiatives in cooperation with them.

While several forms of partnership are welcome, INSTICC places special value in "Technical Co-Sponsorships", by means of which both associations support each other from a scientific perspective for their mutual benefit. Additionally, in this case, members of partner organizations benefit from the same registration conditions as INSTICC members.

Current Institutional Partners:

Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and Simulation of Behaviour (AISB)

The Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and Simulation of Behaviour (AISB) is the largest Artificial Intelligence Society in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1964, the society has an international membership drawn from both academia and industry. It is a member of the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence.
AISB is a thriving learned society which invites membership from people with a serious interest in Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science and related areas. There are six types of membership: student, ordinary, benefactor, patron, corporate and institutional. The society hosts an annual convention. Members of the Society receive a quarterly newsletter AISBQ which includes short reports on current AI and Cognitive Science research. Members are also entitled to discounts to the ECAI conference.

MIMOS

MIMOS has been created from an initiative of a group of Italian operators in the simulation field; during an informal meeting held in February 2000 in Turin, they agreed on the opportunity to increase the knowledge on Modelling and Simulation in Italy by exchanging reciprocal experiences. The idea was to proceed with the creation of a National Association on Modelling and Simulation acting as a reference point for all Companies, Organisations and Users involved, in any way and form, in such a field.

European Training and Simulation Association

ETSA has established itself as "The European Voice" of the MS&T community.
ETSA represents the European training and simulation community.  It provides a non-partisan environment for government bodies, academia, users and suppliers within Europe to network, exchange opportunities, ideas, information and strategies on education, training and simulation technology & methodology.
ETSA undergoes, and co-ordinates, research, development and innovation work to promote and help instigate, improve and extend the widespread use and efficacy of modelling and simulation technologies (including virtual, augmented and mixed reality) and practices for training and other applications throughout the European community.
ETSA organises seminars, workshops, visits and interest groups. It runs an informative website, publishes regular Members' Newsletters and provides Member discounts/benefits at many major training & simulation exhibitions, conferences and events World-wide.
If you have a professional interest in education, training, modelling and simulation in Europe, join Europe's premier Association.
